State Approving Agency

Every state has a State Approving Agency that approves education and training programs for the GI Bill® within its state. Some states have more than one agency - one part approving school based programs, another approving OJT and apprenticeship training. Public Law 111-377 amended Federal Law and "deemed approved" some U.S. Department of Education accredited Institutions of Higher Learning (see "School Approval" below), Department of Labor or recognized state apprenticeship agency Registered Apprenticeship programs, and FAA approved flight schools. Federal training programs and institutions wholly outside of the U.S. are approved by the Department of Veteran Affairs. Online programs are approved by the state wherein the institution has it's main campus. If your program is NOT approved for VA benefits, and is outside of the state of Wyoming, you may find the state contact HERE.

The State Approving Agency for Wyoming is Mr. Timothy Fisher.

Please see links below for more specific instructions on approval processes. Make contact with this office to inquire about actual forms and applications.
